1796 pattern sabre -
Blade measures approx. 71cm in length overall. Weight of sword 651g. Scabbard measures approx. 74.5cm in length overall. Weight of scabbard 525g. Blade generally clean, with light tarnish, finger marks etc. Two substantial nicks to the cutting edge about halfway down the length. Lesser nicks towards tip. Leather grip has holes reminiscent of woodworm. Corrosion/rust to the guard. Grip and guard rather loose. Chips and losses to paint along much of the scabbard's length, with patches of surface rust.
