JOHN DUNCAN FERGUSSON RBA (SCOTTISH 1874-1961)
TROUSERS (GOAT)
Brass, 10.5cm (4 1/8")
Fergusson was much taken with the wild goats around Harlech, where Margaret Morris ran a summer dance school in 1921. He thought their shaggy leg hair resembled trousers, and modelled one to be cast in 1921.
This example is likely to be from an edition of 10 cast in 1990 by Bill Hepworth.
