Spines are rather faded, in contrast to the covers, which retain a good depth of colour. "Cinderella & Jack & the Beanstalk" lacks one ribbon tie, with the other very frayed and at risk of loss also. "Sleeping Beauty; Whittington and His Cat" lacks ribbon ties altogether. "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves" lacks one ribbon tie. "Fireside Stories" with only one ribbon tie, hanging by a thread.
For all volumes, gilt top page edges are fairly dirty. Corners are bumped and worn generally but otherwise there are no tears to the cloth. Overall, pages are in good condition, with minimal foxing. Light fading/discolouration generally and some finger marks. Endpapers are most significantly browned. Some small tears to deckle edges. "Jack the Giant Killer & Beauty & the Beast" with some torn out corners. "Nursey Rhymes" with pencil scribbling inside back cover. Bindings overall are sound, with some slight tears at seams.
