Worked by Sarah Heaton, Aged 10 Years and dated 1828, the field twice depicting Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, with the serpent encircling the apple tree, beneath the verse

Framed under glass and measuring approx. 35cm square.

Together with a later alphabet sampler, featuring a songbird perched upon a tree branch beneath the words Jane McTaggart Sewed This in 1886, housed in a matching frame measuring approx. 54cm x 44xm externally (2)
