The Grey Fairy Book - Spine bumped at top and bottom, corners likewise. Small marks to covers in places. Spine somewhat faded. Gilt page edges generally good, though a little dirty/dulled to top edge. Ownership inscription to reverse of frontispiece (Dorothy Priestly, 73 Ravenswood Drive). Booksellers' annotation to half title. Some foxing to title page and facing tissue guard. Text block sound overall, though the binding is weakening towards the end pages. Pages clean overall, though a little yellowed, with light foxing/marks in places.

The Crimson Fairy Book - Spine sun faded. Bumps to corners and spine at extremities. Front cover very nice and clean with minor wear to gilt illustration. Back cover with minor marks. Binding a little slack, with text block splitting at joints. Some wear to gilt bottom page edges. Top edges fairly dull. Bookseller's annotation to front free endpaper ("1st ed. fine copy"). Similar inscription to final endpapers. Illustrated fixed endpaper with surface wear.

The Animal Story Book - Bumped/curled corners. Wear to spine down edges and at top and bottom. Marks and discolouration to both covers. Covers bowed. Gift inscription to half title. Binding is weak, with splits at joints of text block. Final page torn parallel to spine and is affixed only by a central length of approx. 2cm. Frontispiece tissue guard very discoloured and torn at spine. Top gilt page edges quite dull. Occasional marks to pages. Final endpaper is dog-eared.

The All Sorts Book of Fairies – Spine faded and bumped at top and bottom. Corners bumped and worn. Light marks and discolouration to covers. Endpapers heavily foxed and discoloured. An erased pencil inscription to front free endpaper. Foxing throughout, worst at start and end of text. Binding quite weak, with splits to text block at joints. All colour plates present. Colour plates all with light marks. One with a small tear at lower edge.
