A pair of Barr & Stroud 7x CF41 military-issue binoculars, serial no. 78097, housed in a leather case
Case is in good general condition, with light scuffs and the number 84505 annotated faintly to underside. Grippy rubber underside of strap pad is disintegrating. Binoculars themselves are in fairly good aesthetic condition. Some paintwork is bubbled and there are small losses at points of high wear. Broad arrow stamp has possibly been filled-in/overpainted. There are flecks of what appears to be verdigris around eyepieces. Three colour filters can be employed using dials near to hinge. We regret we do not possess the necessary expertise to accurately assess the optics. Lenses appear to be affected by fungus and as such, the view is somewhat hazy. The binoculars measure approximately 24cm in height.
