First English edition, translated by A.G. Chater; John Murray, London, 1912, two volume set bound in deep red cloth with embossed Norwegian flag to upper covers, 8vo

Minor tears/losses to page edges throughout. Some foxing throughout, most extreme towards endpapers. Volume one text block largely sound but with some splitting at spine. Volume two split more significantly; large tears to pages towards spine from approx. page 217 to 233, effecting some illustrated pages. Volume one with all illustrated pages present and in generally good order, with some marks to pages edges. Volume two with all illustrated pages present; second illustrated page with significant mark/damage to image.
