on square footed and gadrooned bases, with swirl cast centre, knopped stem with ruffled nozzles, one marked for Thomas Hannam and John Carter, London 1766, the other marked with the lion passant, the marked stick is 15.9cm, other is 15.5cm, 364 gms (2)
Listed by Grimwade under Unregistered Marks. The nozzles are not marked on either stick, one stem sits askew, the lion passant marked example is much more pitted than the other. These may have been worked on with acid. Tarnished. They are different heights - the first capstan knop is smaller compared to the other
