More Information

Portrait of gentleman is split cleanly down its full height, with the two pieces held together by the paper backing. Surface is generally dirty and dull. Paper backing is glued round edges of portrait and visible at points in frame. Considerable wear to guilt oval border. Multiple chips and knocks to ebonised frame.
Portrait of lady is in good overall condition. Portrait itself is sealed in the frame by the paper backing, so cannot be removed for inspection. Ebonised frame is extensively scratched and bumped.
Portrait of child is in very good overall condition. Painted panel is affixed directly to glass with a paper backing (which is bubbled). Ebonised frame is in fair overall condition, with wear to corners and small chips here and there. Some surface dirt to top right corner. "607 Roi de Rome" scored into the frame verso.
