More Information

Tarnish to the white metal throughout. No diamonds or pearls missing
• Any Makers mark?
No there isn't, It comes in a fully fitted Garrards & Co Ltd box, I have no reason to believe it is not the original box, and would have been made by Garrard.
• Any repairs?
Not that I can see. I have not unwrapped the mount, it all appears to be in functioning order.
• Are the pearls tested?
Do you mean are the pearls real, then yes they are. Are they cultured pearls? This I don't know, the lady that wore this would have been a debutante circa 1922, on the cusp of cultured pearls coming in, but if you look at the pearls they are all slightly different shaped & sizes indicative of natural ocean pearls. If they were cultured then they would surely be all the same shape & size?
• Any damage/missing/replaced original detail/fittings etc?
All appears original.
• Any additional supports added that are not considered original.
No
• Details of any splits/cracks?
There is no damage that I can see
• Additional photos please, of all angles, particularly showing any damage
See photos, there is no damage.
• Images of all parts back and front
See photos..
• Measurements of all parts ie
• length of center section
Approx 2.8cm
• length of last section
1.7cm
• Gold carat?
No hallmark, the law would have been much the same then as it is today, an item of mixed metals can only be hallmarked to the lowest metal so in this case silver, so I would think the workshop did not bother as the item would be diamond and pearl set, that would speak for itself. Gold estimated approximately 9ct by sight, not acid tested.
• Weight?
necklace 29.2gms
Tiara mount with wrappings, uprights gold, band silver, weight 10.2gms
• All original?
Absolutely.
