QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER: A SILVER PRESENTATION POWDER COMPACT
Hallmarked for Padgett & Braham Ltd., London, 1938, with engine-turned decoration and George VI & Elizabeth royal cipher with enamelled crown applied to lid; together with a Stratton circular powder compact, the lid engraved with the monogram of Princess Mary, Princess Royal (2)

More Information

Silver compact - there is some wear to the enamel on the righthand side of the crown lining. Case is generally tarnished, with dark marks round edges. Clasp is strong, with a nice snappy action. When closed, the two halves of the case lie offset by approximately 1mm. Retains the original duck down puff.

Stratton compact - appears unused. Lid does not spring open but rather requires manual operation. General surface dirt and very light knocks to exterior. One small area of apparent pitting to the finish.
