A bright yellow heraldic signet ring, size O1/2, weight 9gms
The ring has a nice weight to it, it has no visible hallmarks but is heavy and bright yellow metal, only a tantalizing '5' is still visible, by the way it has worn pebble smooth I would suggest the metal is softer than 9ct. Plenty of wear in the shank, inscribed to the inner shank 18.8.51, the face of the signet a shield with a deer with antlers is still visible with a knights helmet above every thing else is worn away apart from the deepest bits of engraving.
