Oil on canvas, signed and dated 1886, 51 x 61cm (20 x 24")
On inspection there is evident a vertical area of restoration work to the surface in an area approx. 7 x 2cm, located upper right quarter section diagonally up right from the seated figure's head with a corresponding patch verso. There is light craquelure apparent over the dark passages centrally located on the standing figure and similar but to a lesser degree around the upper half of the seated figure.
