Dr. John Finlayson Lang was a friend and admirer of Alexander Ritchie. This is what inspired him to begin silver work as a hobby in his retirement. He gave occasional classes and demonstrations at Edinburgh School of Art in the 1940’s. Thomas Percy Griffin was the son of Lang.
