AN ATTRIBUTED EARLY-20th CENTURY BLACK WATCH PIPE MAJOR'S UNIFORM
Believed WW1-period; comprising kilt and fly plaid in Black Watch Piper's tartan; black woollen doublet by Moore, Taggart & Co. Military Outfitters, Glasgow; Glengarry bonnet; kilt and cross belts with unmarked base metal buckles.
The uniform is attributed to George Haddow of Bellshill, North Lanarkshire.
Note: widespread historic moth damage to all elements. In relic condition.
