John Gay Poems - One volume only. Upper cover detached. Bookplate of Caroline Anne Sabine and name of Robert Welton, 1789 inscribed inside cover. First endpaper inscribed Eliza Welton, April 1794. Rear cover much weakened and hanging by threads. Title page cut off approx. 2cm up from bottom edge. Biography of Gay pasted to final endpapers. Pages internally in fair condition, with consistent sunning and foxing in places.
Robert Burns Poems Volume I - Upper cover detached but for a thread. Indistinct owner's name inscribed inside upper cover, dated Glasgow 1812. Front endpapers loose. Some pencil annotations internally. Some significant tears/losses to pages. Some dog-earring. General sunning and foxing. Pencil doodles to front and final endpapers.
Volume II - Upper cover detached. Ownership inscription inside front cover matching Volume I. Endpapers loose. Final endpapers torn out and lacking. General foxing, sunning and creasing to pages throughout. Pencil doodles to front endpapers.
