A RARE PELHAM TYPE SL DUCHESS PUPPET
The character from Lewis Carroll's Alice books, boxed
Box is stamped "Type SL Duchess" at one end. At the other, a retailer's label (Dolls' House, 28 Argyle Arcade, Glasgow). Box is worn overall, with small tears, creases and scuffing. Staples are rusted, discolouring the surrounding cardboard. Instructions are lacking. Puppet packed in old tissue.
Rust to hooks and eyes affixed to frame. Strings are not tangled. The Duchess' nose is worn at tip. Paintwork is lightly cracked/crazed over the face. Clothing is in good order overall with occasional spots of (possible) rust staining. Puppet appears to have seen minimal use and is dust-free.
