A YELLOW METAL MOUNTED AGATE SNUFF BOX
made from an agate rock chosen to fit nicely in the hand, the yellow metal mount bears continental marks, please see photos for details. approx dimensions 5.5cm x 4cm x 2.8cm, weight 61.2gms
In good condition, hinge in good order and closes nicely.
The metal is gold, it is fully hallmarked with continental marks, by law if they are not full British hallmarks or continental ones I can trace, I have to say yellow metal, this box has age to it, if it was silver gilt , it would have areas of wear, it does not, beautifully made. I have photographed all the marks it bears, and attached them to this report
