A string of Mikimoto pearls in original leather 'branded' pouch, the 14k white gold clasp bears the Mikimoto logo, length of pearls 44.5cm, largest pearl 6.3mm
Its what a pearl stringer calls gimp, the metal spring that they put on the ends to protect the silk from rubbing on the clasp. In this case it is discoloured but the stringing is still sound.
