AN EARLY C20th ROPE-TUNED CALFSKIN REGIMENTAL SIDE DRUM
Polychrome decorated with the arms and battle honours of the Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment; together with a silver-topped swagger stick retailed by Brigg, London (the top hallmarked for Charles Cooke, London, 1910) (2)

Drum is in heavily worn condition. Top skin with two small holes; bottom skin with multiple large holes, discoloured and stained. Brass shell is dented generally and tarnished with areas of verdigris. Paintwork of Arms and battle honours is generally good but varnish has bubbled and deteriorated significantly. Wood hoops are heavily worn with large and extensive losses to the paintwork.
Swagger stick is missing badge. Shaft is warped and top is heavily tarnished.
