Christine A Woodside studied at Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen, graduating in 1963. She draws inspiration from her environment, and translates it into joyous multilayered works, predominately in pastel, oil, watercolour and layers of handmade Japanese paper. She exhibits regularly in Edinburgh and London. Notable awards: David Murray Scholarship for Landscape painting (1966); David Murray Scholarship for Landscape painting (1968).
