A needlework sampler, by Katherine Balneavis, dated "56", framed under glass and measuring approx. 37cm x 27cm externally
In overall good condition. The sampler is generally faded - particularly over the lower half - and of a greenish hue. There is one small hole evident in the the top righthand corner, approx. 2mm in diameter. There is a length of loose thread below the glass in the top righthand corner. The fabric is slightly crimped in the frame in the top righthand corner. The stitching is in good shape. An attractive sampler.
