A rare collection of Operation Bernhard Forgeries. Printed in Concentration Camps Jewish prisoners were forced to produce amazingly accurate banknote forgeries these notes very rarely come up for sale. Operation Bernhard was under the control of Bernhard Kruger an SS Major during the second World War. He led the counterfeiting operation from Sachsenhausen concentration camp manned by 142 Jewish inmates. In 2007 a dramatised film was produced called The Counterfeiters based on the memoirs of Adolf Burger a Jewish Slovak Typographer who was involved in Operation Bernhard.
