by Emick Romer, London 1768, of oval form, with a beaded shell rim, with alternating openwork panels of gothic style patterns and ovals divided by beaded lines, the handle entwined handle with a central vacant cartouche, terminating in scrolls and acanthus leaves, the centre engraved with an armorial crest and motto 'IN HONESTUM ILLICITUM on an openwork foot, with a gadrooned rim, 38cm diameter, approx 26cm high to top of handle, 808gms / 25.97oz
