decorated in relief with a view of decorated in relief with a view of Newstead Abbey, the hinged grille pierced with scrolling foliage, by Taylor & Perry, Birmingham 1836, 4.5cm
The attachment loop was probably added at a later date. There is a large scratch to the inside lid, the grill is fine and has no breaks. The marks are not the clearest. There is a very very minor loss of gilt to the grill on the front bottom right corner. Hinges are fine and both close tightly.
