Covers with much wear. Marbled paper torn round edges and scratched over much of their surface. Wear and scuffs to Morocco spine, particularly to head, foot and raised bands; as well as some colour variation. Pages are in good overall condition, with occasional finger marks, which are dark at points. All plates are present. Bookseller's pencil annotation to final free endpaper. Minor foxing to pages towards start and end of text block. Gilt top edges are somewhat scuffed. Unrelated single pages of text occasionally inserted loose. Binding secure. Overall, though with evident wear, a nice copy.
