GIBSON a Gibson J160E electro acoustic guitar in dark sunburst serial number 890922 circa 1969 with original fitted case
The Gibson J-160E is one of the first acoustic-electric guitars produced by the Gibson Guitar Corporation. The J-160E was Gibson's second attempt at creating an acoustic-electric guitar. The basic concept behind the guitar was to fit a single-pickup into a normal-size dreadnought acoustic guitar.
The guitar is second hand. The body is sound with no structural cracks. There are various surface scratches and dings to the body of the guitar . The binding does not sit flush with the sides(perhaps from construction). The neck and headstock are sound with no cracks. There are various surface scratches and dings to the neck and headstock. The 20 fret board is sound with no buzzing frets. The electrics are working. The guitar sounds warm and clear when amplified. There is letter D attached to the scratch plate.
