A HEAVY COPPER PLAQUE, REMOVED FROM THE FORMER ST. ENOCH'S CHURCH, GLASGOW
Formed as an adapted Glasgow City Crest with clerical figure centrally, furling banners above and below reading "Lord Let Glasgow Flourish, By the Preaching of the Word"
The foundation stone of St. Enoch's Church was laid in April 1780. In 1827, the building was redesigned, with its tall spire the only original element of the structure remaining visible. The church remained largely unaltered from this date until its ultimate demolition in the mid-1920s.
