A CHINESE SILK 3/4 LENGTH HAN STYLE OFFICIALS WIFE JACKET
Woven with 5 clawed lung dragon,phoenix and auspicious objects, early 20th century, 111cm long
There are losses to the dragons white scales, some of the gilt thread is pulled in places, most remains intact. The robe itself has been discoloured by sunlight, the sleeves retain most of the red pigment. The pagoda embroidery near the bottom has losses. The sleeves have tears to the lower armpit section. Some minor staining and small pinholes to the body. The lining around the neck area is torn and the bottom lining is frayed.. A few small pulls to the ruyi clouds but most are intact. One fastener is missing
