A ROLEX OYSTER AIR-KING
in stainless steel with cream dial, gold baton numerals and dauphin hands, the dial with Rolex crown logo, inscribed 'Oyster perpetual Air-King Super Precision', winder with Rolex crown. Back of the case inscribed with the date 1961, model number 5500 serial number 642212. diameter of the case 3.3cm. Strap replaced in 1981, Original Oyster strap enclosed, Original box and paperwork including guarantee and original receipt. Weight of watch 70.1gms, with box etc 265.8gms

Answer;- There are 10 images of this watch most of the images you have asked for. I cannot provide photos of the inside of the case or the mechanism... I don't have the correct tool.

A;-Dimensions given in the description are always without the crown and are still 3.3cm.
Does the hand-set work, does it wind and tick?
A;- Yes it does, I try to remember to set all my watches to 10.10 with a couple of photos showing the second hand has moved to prove it winds and is ticking. It does wind ok & tick, & the crown screws down ok.
Condition report;- slight scratches to the 'glass' would polish out.
Light scratches to the body and the strap, back of the case is inscribed lightly 'JM to GG 1/12/61' does need a clean, seems to be some sort of glue on the side of the buckle, I can't think what it might be gluing as everything 'hinge wise' is free moving, might just be an accidental splodge? Lots of paperwork and original strap with this watch.
***The back has now been taken off this watch for internal images, so will need tightening.
