Covers are well worn, with widespread discolouration/staining. Corners are bumped and beginning to fray. The same is true of the head and foot of spine, which is generally very faded. Embossed stamp to free endpaper - "Allanfauld, Kilsyth". Further inscribed in pencil "H.S. Anderson". Free endpaper is heavily browned. Pages otherwise are good overall, with some foxing towards either end of the text block. Marks and discolouration occasionally elsewhere. Gilt top edge is dulled. All fifty colour plates are present and present in good condition, retaining their tissue guards. Binding is secure.
