There are a number of chips and losses to the plain mother of pearl case. The lining is somewhat loose and fraying at edges.
The example with abalone inlay is similarly chipped in places. Push release button is bent and sitting off centre. Some cracks to the mother of pearl tiles surrounding the catch. Some peeling to lining around edges.
