Jim McInally of Dundee United F.C. - His Scottish Cup 1993-94 Winner's medal
In 9ct gold and enamel, maker's mark "RH", Birmingham, 1994, engraved verso "Winners Scottish Cup 1993-94", weight 15.77g, housed in its original fitted presentation case

Provenance: Jim McInally (b. 1964), Scottish football manager and former player.

Played at Hampden Park on May 21st 1994, Dundee United's 1-0 victory over Rangers marked their first Scottish Cup victory, having lost four finals within the preceding decade, and six total. McInally himself had played on three of those occasions and later commented "There [had] been so much heartache in the previous finals I’d been involved in. You did feel a little bit like you were cursed; that it would never happen. So, when that final whistle went, it was incredible and – personally – to beat Rangers was even better. [...] I appreciated it more than I would have if I’d won an earlier final."
