An Edwardian nacré velvet jacket and skirt set with ermine fur cuffs and collar and military style faux frog closures; together with a blue shot silk taffeta petticoat skirt with pleated trim (2)
Velvet jacket: There are marks and spots of pile loss to the velvet. Some of the stitching on the front has come undone and is messy. The fur cuffs have come loose in places and much of the stitching is loose. It looks like there was a silk lining on the cuffs which has shattered. Both underarms have holes. There are holes and tears to the ermine collar. There are rips, holes, shattering and discolouration to the lining. There are coins sewn into the hem and their weight has ripped the lining. Velvet skirt: There are marks, rips and spots of pile loss to the velvet. The frogging is loose on one side. There are stains to the lining. Silk skirt: There is shattering to the hem and some small holes throughout.
